Together with ARTvanced and KAZimKUBA we invite you to the vernissage of the exhibition "IN MEMORIAM Monika Nikolic. Photography on architecture and documenta."

At the opening on Thursday, 4 July 2024, 7 pm at KAZimKUBA, Kulturbahnhof Kassel, the Lord Mayor of the City of Kassel Sven Schoeller and Sonja Rossettini, board member ARTvanced, will speak.

The photographic works of Monika Nikolic (1944-2024) explore architecture and art spaces with a special feel for their aesthetic brilliance. She photographed at the documenta exhibitions in Kassel for decades.

Born in Vienna, she initially studied architecture in Graz and Stuttgart. After studying photography as a guest student at what is now the Kunsthochschule Kassel in 1982, she worked as an architectural photographer for architecture and landscape planning offices
